Andrew Thorpe - Thorpee

Thorpee, this is for you and for… the paw print tattoo’s you sported that began a copy cat trend that spread through our group.  For your tongue stud that you played with incessantly.  It is to remember your red polo with the biggest boom box we had ever seen and the way you used to sit right forward and drive at crazy speeds with just one hand on the wheel.

It is for the way you got through your transplant with out a complaint or grumble, the way you worried your sisters to death, the way you launched your self, head first, into your new life, determined to have fun.  The way you were loved by absolutely every one that met you.  Your unique Thorpee laugh and cough that told us you were just around the corner.

For all the half drunk cokes you left in the CF kitchen and for me: the times you would come and sit on the chair next to my bed and try on my slippers to make me laugh.  The way I saw you grow up in front of my eyes in the few years I knew you and called you my friend.   For the biggest hole you have left that actually gets bigger with time. I miss you more as time goes on

He was my birthday Buddy.  We spent an admission in together on our birthday.   Every December 5th I think of Andrew!   He also was my main inspiration for getting my own eyebrow pierced when I was 18 eighteen.
